Event Details
Project DOCC stands for Delivery of Chronic Care and is a pediatric resident training program designed to help doctors in training to understand the issues faced by families who provide chronic care to children with special needs. The Parents Advisory Council of Children’s Hospital at Erlanger began over 10 years ago with the goal to improve care at Children’s Hospital. As part of this initiative, Project DOCC (Delivery of Chronic Care), a resident training program, was re-launched at the hospital recently. Veteran DOCC parent trainers and LifeLine will be preparing the parents who will ultimately be training the residents though Children’s Hospital’s PAC/DOCC program. If you feel that you have some experi…ence raising a child with special health care needs, are willing to share your journey to benefit others, and would be interested in being an advocate in this way, please contact me. We are currently actively recruiting potential families for pediatric resident trainers. New parents, plan to join us on Saturday, April 13, for Part 2 of the parent training as we develop new Parent Trainers for 2016! Lunch will be provided.
There is no cost to the Parent for this training, however, registration is necessary. Contact Lisa Mattheiss at 423-645-0504 or lisa.mattheiss@ lifelinefamilies.org
