Instilling inspiration and empowerment, while enhancing the lives of children with serious illnesses. The goal of CCK is to uplift children who have life-threatening illnesses by creating experiences year-round that are memorable, exciting, fun, build self-esteem, are physically safe and medically sound. No child or family will pay to attend camp. The camp is funded by donations from individuals, foundations, corporations, and health partners with a heart for children. CCK serves children who are ages from 7-15. Family retreat weekends for a member of the immediate family, age 3-17 years must have one of the illnesses we serve.
Camp goals: make friends, enhance self esteem, build self confidence, promote self discovery and expression, develop independence, develop teamwork, learn you are not alone, feel “normal” for a week, and dreams, hope, and happiness. This is in Scottsville, Kentucky.
