- Talking books and magazines – Audiobooks and audio magazines are delivered to your door at no cost. You return them the same way, through postage-free mail. Digital talking-book players are also provided for free to patrons.
- Music — NLS provides music appreciation materials, music scores, and music instruction in braille, audio, and large print.
Requirements:
- legally blind–20/200 or less
- you cannot see well enough or focus enough to read regular print, although you wear eyeglasses.
- you are unable to handle print books or turn pages
- you are certified by a medical doctor or doctor of osteopathy because of an organic dysfunction that prevents reading in the usual manner.
