Buddy Break is a FREE Parent’s Day Out program designed to give caregivers of kids with special needs (VIP kids) a break from their ongoing care-giving responsibilities. For 3 hours once a month, caregivers can leave their VIP kids, generally ages 2-16, and their siblings with trained and screened volunteer “Buddies” to play games, see and hear great children’s stories, enjoy music and just have fun.
Why is there a need for buddy break? the weight and stress of finding proper doctors, teachers, financial resources, etc. for a VIP child’s care can be overwhelming for caregivers.
- Who are VIP kids? VIPs are kids with any type of special need. Our Buddy Breaks are trained to serve any child with physical, cognitive or medical disability of any type including hidden disabilities.
- Who are Buddies? Buddies are friends to VIPs.
