The Children’s Advocacy Center of Hamilton County is dedicated to serving children who are alleged victims of sexual or severe physical abuse through prevention, education, and intervention. 44 children received 308 counseling sessions and non-offending parents/guardians received 300 sessions during the 2009-2010 fiscal year. Read more… The school prevention program addresses primary prevention by teaching children to “say no, get away and tell an adult.” Prevention Education: 1.) Body Safety–this program ins designed for children Pre-K through 5th grade and teaches children how to recognize, resist, and report abusive situations. 2.) Keep Your Children Safe–designed for parents, this program describes the facts surrounding child abuse and how to prevent, identify and report it. 3.) recognizing & Reporting Child Abuse–this is a Professional In-Service program designed for teachers, counselors, youth leaders, and principals. 4.) Positive Discipline–designed for parents and professional childcare staff, this program describes the normal behaviors of children and how to address them in a positive way. 5.) General CACH overview–this program provides basic information on the CACHC model and out agency.
